TPM and New Age/ Theosophy

Is TPM related to the new age practice called Theosophy

No.  TPM is NOT new age nor is it in any way similar to Theosophy.  TPM is Christian based and biblically founded.  Theophostic Prayer Ministry is totally centered on the person of Jesus Christ as the only hope for salvation, future eternal hope and present and lasting peace.  Jesus Christ is the only avenue to the heavenly Father since "there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12).  Theosophy as with other new age practices does not recognize Jesus as the true and only Son of God or as the only way to achieving anything.  New Age practices are about becoming one with the universe, finding God in your self and nature, self actualizing and self achieved improvement.  Jesus Christ did not come to this earth to improve anyone.  He came that we might become new creatures as an outcome of the finished work he achieved for us.

There have been a few people who assumed that Theophostic Prayer Ministry was somehow related to Theosophy simply because of the similarity in names.  Wikipedia defines Theosophy as a modern movement following Hindu and Buddhist teachings, and seeking universal brotherhood... Adherents of Theosophy maintain that it is a "body of truth" that forms the basis of all religions. Theosophy, they claim, represents a modern face of Sanatana Dharma, "the eternal truth," as the proper religion.

In complete contrast, Theophostic Prayer Ministry is defined as, ""Intentional and focused prayer with the desired outcome of an authentic encounter with the presence of Christ, resulting in mind renewal and subsequent transformed life."  The centrality of the person of Jesus Christ, repentance from sin and lie-based thinking, humbling oneself before God and seeking His truth are some of the primary elements found in TPM.  None of these components are typically found in new age teachings.
